Solana Partnership Analysis – Arweave
As blockchains scale there is a need to store data permanently. As Solana is so f’kin fast, running at ~50,000 transactions per second, it is estimate that this would generate a requirement to store 4 petabytes of data per year. With it’s partnership with Arweave, Solana hopes to ensure it’s blockchain data is securely and scalably stored.
What is Arweave?
Arweave offers scalable and permanent data storage. Information stored on the Arweave network is backed by sustainable and perpetual endowments, and is tamper-proof, distributed, and decentralized. As a collectively owned hard drive, Arweave allows us to remember and preserve valuable information, apps, and history.
